Blech...Laundry - How To Make It Somewhat Bearable
I seriously DO NOT LIKE doing laundry. I like lovely, fresh clean clothes, sure. I love that gooshy warm feeling you get when you sink down into some crisp and clean bed linens. And I LOOOVE the feeling of a warm, clean and cozy sweater on a cold day. But still - I HATE doing laundry! It's one of my most dreaded cleaning tasks.
:) If you're a true happy slob, you probably feel the same. So, we can sit around and let the laundry accumulate or we can decide to something about it. Here are a couple of ways that I make laundry a faster and easier job:
* Just Do It >>> Yes, procrastination is the worst thing when it comes to laundry. The more we put it off, the more it grows like the beastly creature it is. So, when that laundry basket is full, just grab it and go and get it done.
* Choose a Laundry Day >>> One day a week will keep the agony to a minimum. Make sure to get the family involved. (Use the tip on the color coded laundry baskets in the EbOOK.)
* Reduce Ironing >>> Yikes, ironing is just as bad or WORSE than doing the laundry in the first place! So keep it to a minimum by not overpacking the load of laundry & removing it immediately from the dryer to prevent excess wrinkles (set a timer to help with this).
So maybe we still despise doing the wash, but at least with these few tips we can just get it done and over with...so we can go on to much nicer aspects of our lives. :)
P.S. Here's a tip on a natural fabric softener: JUST USE WHITE VINEGAR. I know, I know, I think vinegar is useful for everything - but it really is! About one cup in the wash will replace commercial fabric softeners.
