Down by the Sea...

My husband and I returned from a fantastic trip to Vancouver Island, Canada recently. I had been there before - once when I was 15 years old, and once when I was about 10, I think. :) Needless to say, it is utterly gorgeous there.
I've decided that as a happy slob I:
* hate living in a big city
* love living by the sea
* still hate housecleaning
Seriously, Victoria is a lovely little city right on the pacific coast of Canada. It is friendly and has a wonderful, addictive feeling of feel-rightedness about everything. We watched cruise ships come in, and people walking by contentedly. We also stayed in Qualicum Beach, which is a small town geared to retirees mostly, which I loved! It was peaceful and soothing, and the small condo we rented was RIGHT on the beach. I would recommend it highly to anyone who enjoys a real getaway.
Another great thing about vacation is definitely GETTING YOUR ROOM CLEANED by the cleaners every day! :) I did not miss cleaning one bit. It actually is taking me a while to get back into my regular 3-step solution habits, but I'm getting back on track. See, I told you I was the original Happy Slob!
Here's hoping that you had a chance to get away somewhere beautiful recently too.
